Melissa’s Method:
As a national registered and licensed provider, I am consistently involved in professional development to ensure that I am providing the best services possible to my clients that are evidence based, researched and therapeutic. Having had extra sensory trainings when working with pediatric populations I use a loose play based assessment based upon the DIR Floor-time model to help guide treatment planning and assessment with sensory based challenges.
I am currently undergoing extra training to be ASI certified but I have a sensory evaluation certificate level one from the STAR Institute in conjunction with Temple University. I also have a certificate from SOS Feeding, for which I have also completed an additional mentorship program to enhance observation and evaluation of feeding.
I have experience with a variety of standardized and criterion bases assessments that I use based upon the specific case. However my overall approach to therapy is to treat everyone as in individual.
